The most magical transformation began in the 1920s, when the Duffy family started conjuring confections in their cozy home kitchen. Charles & Elizabeth Duffy stirred their dreams into large copper kettles, creating candies cloaked in the finest milk and dark chocolate like tiny edible costumes.
The Duffy’s and their children became the neighborhood's beloved Candy wizards, offering their caramel-dipped apples & Chocolate novelties year round, but on Halloween night the entire town would line the block like a parade of costumed spirits, all hoping to receive one of Duffy's legendary candies.
