Washington Park on the Delaware was a destination amusement park on the river in Westville. It was founded by Gloucester City's very own Billy Thompson in 1895. The amusement park was complete with ferris wheel, carousel, casino & large illuminated electric fountain. Visitors would travel from Philadelphia to Gloucester City, and hop a ride on the trolley to the park. During your visit to the park, you'd find various treats, that would include Caramel Corn, Peanut Brittle, Cotton Candy & other delicious confections.
